Providers Can Still Participate with PQRI in 2008
It’s not too late to participate in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) for 2008.
Eligible professionals—including MDs, DOs, CRNPs, and CRNAs—can report certain quality data to CMS to earn a bonus of 1.5 percent of their Medicare allowed charges. The program is voluntary and participants do not have to participate with Medicare.
To learn more about the 119 PQRI measures for 2008, visit the CMS PQRI toolkit. The toolkit includes downloadable data collection worksheets.
CMS also is accepting suggestions for 2009 measures. For more information, visit the CMS website.
