In 1954, the Pennsylvania Medical Society developed its charitable arm through the Educational and Scientific Trust. Today, The Foundation continues as the philanthropic affiliate of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and offers members a variety of educational and support services:

Physicians' Health Programs
The Foundation assists physicians impaired by addictive, emotional, or psychiatric disorders or those afflicted with disabilities by offering support services to them and their families.

The Foundation offers medical students low-interest loans, scholarships, and financial planning seminars.

Philanthropic Opportunities
The Foundation provides philanthropic opportunities for physicians and others to support programs that benefit the commonwealth's medical community.
